Raj Reddy is an Indian-American computer science. He was born in 1937 ans is 86 years old. Reddy is well known for being a Turing award laureate. He and his colleagues demonstrated exceptional work in the artificial intelligence field. Over a span of 50 years, they compiled demonstrations of spoken language systems in AI, as well as voice recognition and unrestricted vocabulary dictation. The Turing Award is the highest honor in computer science. Some of his other works are founding the Institute of Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University. He also became a founding director of the school's West Coast Campus. He also started many computer science institutions in India.
